My Pillow Sham

I know that for most this isn't much to look at, but I'm proud of my self. I here and there try to be crafty and sew things on my own, and this one turned out ok, and I don't think it will fall apart. I finally put Ella in Kaylee's room and got them matching bed spreads (which I also made by buying one duvet cover, picking it apart and making 2 out of it.) So the fabric I used for the pillow shams was from her old duvet cover. It was pretty simple, I just made it up as I went, but none the less I was proud of myself.

The Stool

Ella has figured out that she can get the stool from the bathroom, which is for my kids to use to wash their hands because they can't reach the sink, and take it any where in the house that she thinks it might come in handy. In this case it was to reach the cookie dough out of the bowl because I told her no more. I have many times opened the pantry door and there the stool is sitting on the floor. Which of course means that she was trying to reach some sort of snack when I wasn't paying attention. We are also semi working on trying to get rid of her binki. She is only supposed to have it at nap and bedtime. But that is not ok with her, so there has been many times that she has come walking into the room with her binki in the middle of the day and I always say "Ella, who got you your binki?" And most of the times she says "I did." Because she gets out the stool and gets it down all by her self. I guess maybe the solution to all of this is to put the stool up too? :)

Trick or Treat

This year we got invited to 3 different Halloween parties, so my kids got to dress up quite a bit. Because of this they felt the needed to change what they were going to be almost every time. For Trick or treating, Braxton was a ninja, Kaylee was a cheerleader, Ella was a purple dragon, and Kohen just got carried on the front pack carrier. Also the last 3 years, our good friends, the Fischers, have come to our house and gone trick or treating with us. Her girls were Sleeping Beauty (Alexis), Wonder woman (Brooklyn), and a cute little flower (Olivia). My kids loved having their friends to walk around with. It made it that much more fun and exciting.

For the Halloween Parties that we went to Kohen was a spider, Ella was Minnie Mouse, Kaylee was Jasmin, and Braxton was Spider Man.

Right before we were turning the corner of our street, 3 houses down from ours, Ella got a burst of energy ran to catch up to everyone else. As she went to run she tripped on her little Dragon feet and fell straight on her face in the middle of the street. It was so sad. She cried pretty loud but recovered quickly. These are the scrapes that she got. Her "trick or treat battle wounds." But the candy was all worth it, right?!

My Little Cow Girls!!

My older brother Brett and his wife threw their daughter a western birthday party. He brought his horses into their back yard and let all the kids have rides. My girls could not get enough rides. They would have lived on the horses if they could. There however is one thing missing from these pictures. Braxton, he was scared to death of them. He wouldn't even come outside. In fact he was in the basement as far away as he could get. He was so scared I didn't even push the issue. But with my girls, I think I have some natural born cow girls!!

Pumpkin Decorating

We finally painted our pumpkins last night. After much begging from the children we finally got it done. We have been letting the kids paint their pumpkins instead of carving them because they can do it all by themselves. They don't really paint faces on them either, they just paint them however they want, but they have fun doing it. We love fall and all the activities that come with it.

Preschool field trip

We are doing a preschool co op with kaylee and some kids in our neighborhood this year. She loves it, but still is wondering why she can't go on the bus with Braxton. They want to grow up too fast. I need to invent some growth potion to slow down our childrens growth or something. :) Anyways....This is our field trip to the pumpkin patch. They had fun.

Braxtons first lost tooth

Braxton has finally lost a tooth. This day has been a long time coming. He is so excited and lately this new news is the first thing he tells anyone we see. It has been a few weeks since it happened, but because of his excitement I decided we'd post it. However he was not as lucky as the neighbor girl. The tooth fairy gave her 2 dollars for her tooth, and he only got 1. :) Congratulations Braxton. You are growing up too fast!!

Kaylee's Shiner

Kaylee and Ella were jumping on the trampoline together the other day, wonderfuly entertaining each other when they jumped up and bashed heads. This is what became of it. Kaylee's first black eye. Not as bad as some, but it's worse than the picture shows.
